Boongle IDE (“Boongle”, “we”, “us”) is an AI-powered desktop code editor for Windows and macOS. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Boongle IDE is operated by the Boongle development team. For privacy questions, contact us on Discord or through the support channels listed in the app and on this website.

What stays on your device

Your project files, local editor settings, and workspace content stay on your machine unless you explicitly choose to sync or upload them through a Boongle feature. Agent edits are shown as diffs for your review before they are applied.

Information we collect

• Account data — email address, authentication identifiers, and plan tier when you sign in.
• Usage data — model usage, billing-period limits, and feature usage needed to run your plan.
• Support & beta data — information you submit through beta applications, checkout review, or support messages (for example email, Discord/Telegram handle, or payment review details).
• Referral data — referral codes and reward status if you use the referral program.
• Website data — basic logs and session data when you use boongle.dev (for example page requests and unlock-session state in your browser).
• Optional integrations — if enabled, data needed for that feature (for example Discord Rich Presence status, speech-to-text audio sent for transcription, or plugin marketplace activity).

AI and model providers

When you use AI features, prompts, selected files, terminal output, or other context you include in a request may be sent to the model provider configured for that request (for example first-party Boongle models or third-party APIs such as Claude, Gemini, or Grok through our routing layer). Do not send secrets you are not willing to share with those providers.

How we use information

• Provide, maintain, and improve Boongle IDE and the website.
• Authenticate accounts, enforce plan limits, and process upgrades or beta access.
• Respond to support requests and review checkout or beta submissions.
• Send product updates, security notices, or service-related messages when necessary.
• Detect abuse, fraud, or violations of our terms.

Service providers

We use trusted infrastructure and service providers to operate Boongle, including:

• Supabase — authentication, account storage, usage records, and backend data.
• Cloudflare — website hosting, CDN, and edge delivery.
• GitHub — release distribution for app installers.
• AI infrastructure partners — model inference and routing for AI features.

These providers process data only as needed to deliver the service.

Retention

We keep account and usage records while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for billing, support, and legal compliance. Beta, checkout, and support submissions are retained as long as needed to process them and maintain records. You may request deletion of account-related data by contacting us.

Your choices

• You can use many editor features offline with local project files.
• You can disable optional integrations such as Discord Rich Presence in settings.
• You can choose which models and tools the agent is allowed to use.
• You can request access to or deletion of account data by contacting us on Discord.

Children

Boongle IDE is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

International users

Boongle is operated from multiple regions through cloud providers. By using Boongle, you understand that your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of Boongle after changes means you accept the updated policy.
